Affixing a 1980’s Cannon FD lens to a Fuji XF-mount camera. Seemed like a solid idea. There was an expensive (approx $500) option. Then there was the ZhongYi Lens Turbo II.

The adapter fit just fine onto the camera body, but it wasn’t so seemless with the lens. There wasn’t enough space within the adapter to allow the trigger which controls the aperture to fit.

You can see where the lens aperture trigger (I don’t know what else to call it) was contacting the inside of the Lens Turbo.

I’m always excited when I get to bust out my dremel tool.

After some sparks and a little trial-n-error, I ended up taking about 1mm off the trigger thingy. And voila, everything works as expected.
